Think Like A Lawyer ; Don’t Act Like One – FILE A CLAIM

Suppose someone steals your brilliant idea for a TV programme. He works it into a format, and then tries to sell it to a producer or broadcaster. In such a case, it makes a lot of sense to file a claim—a paralyzing claim. Your lawyer writes the thief a letter making the claim and demanding damages. That will do it. The format is dead: no buyer will risk burning his fingers on a product with a claim attached.
