"In my long career as Army Officer, then as Police Officer, I have had a close association with various laws. After my retirement I had been disassociated with the legal knowledge but somehow, a friend gave me some complementary copies of the Lawyers Update magazine, and subsequently I developed a habit to keep on reading it. Similarly, as you develop a habit of reading a particular newspaper of your taste and then you look at the door for the delivery man to supply the newspaper.
However, I have a few suggestions. One, that we always read cover stories mostly written inhouse, whereas, there is no dearth of retired judges, law officers, legal luminaries, who can contribute articles of their vast experience. I think tapping such resources may not be difficult for experienced people like you. Second, put more book reviews and reports of the seminars going around. Also please publish in advance the information of forthcoming events for the knowledge of prospective participants. Third, start columns on contemporary foreign laws and legal trends, thereby comparing it to that of ours. We should be very transparent in this regard. Lastly, try to make the magazine more colourful."
